Story Time

Lets start this whole thing off with a story.. whoohoo! This past June my parents, my boyfriend, and I went on a cruise for five days. We went to Cozumel and Progresso and let me tell you, they both were very interesting. We stopped at Progresso first and didn't really do anything other than shop. It was probably the most strange place that I have ever been too... it was honestly like a circus lol. They definitely weren't speaking english, which I didn't go inside too many shops because I didnt know what they were saying. Ha! Eventually it started raining and we raced back to the boat!

Now lets get into the second day of adventures. We got an excursion that was called The Amazing Race and some of you may know the tv show of that race. The concept of it is running around a city with a map and clues to find the last destination spot. So we thought of course that would be awesome! We would be able to explore the city and have fun all at the same time. Well we started in a cab and went to a church to receive instructions on our first clue. There were 9 groups of people that were in the race and so we all got our picture made and got our maps all ready to go. So we started on the streets and by this time there were dark clouds surrounding all over the city and none of us really noticed it because we were too busy finding the first clue. The next thing we know, it is POURING rain very hard... and nobody had umbrellas or anything! I had a t shirt and shorts and a backpack and ball cap on, my parents just had t shirt and shorts on and so did my boyfriend Will. A couple hours have past and it is STILL POURING. It never stopped... The race took us about an hour and a half to complete because of the rain.. But let me tell you- it was SO FUN! One clue we had to go into a store and yell out "WE LOVE DEL SOL" as loud as we could! All of the workers of every store loved watching all of us run around in the pouring rain lol But they were so helpful! One clue I had to go ask a question in Spanish... and my Spanish is AWFUL lol.. I had no idea how to say these words but the guy had responded in English.... which made me confused because I had just asked a question in Spanish LOL. It was really funny! One of the funniest part of the whole race was looking back at all four of us completely soaked but still running for first place! We were delusional and hungry which made it even more funny! Ha. And another thing, we had to go into a museum to find certain clues and as we couldn't find clues in the fastest time, we got frustrated with each other and eventually started yelling because we were so confused... well remember, we were in a museum.. LOL so the people that worked their did not like us very much after that! Finally we saw the finish line and we were SO HAPPY! After an award ceremony, which we did not get anything.. lol, we received an amazing free lunch right in front of the ocean! Even though it poured on us the ENTIRE time, it was an incredible experience and I would do it again in a heart beat! Here's a picture of us after the down pour of The Amazing Race!

Even though it may rain on your day or things may not go as planned, don't let it defeat you because it could turn out to be one of the best memories you will have!
